Description
Sweet and Spicy Chicken Marinade that’s bold, balanced, and bursting with flavor. Perfect for grilled, baked, or air-fried chicken.
Ingredients
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tbsp honey or brown sugar
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
1 tbsp sriracha or hot sauce
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
1/2 tsp ground black pepper
Optional: 1 tsp grated fresh ginger
Instructions
1. In a medium bowl, whisk together all ingredients until fully blended.
2. Pour the marinade into a resealable bag or airtight container.
3. Add chicken and ensure it’s fully coated. Refrigerate for 1–6 hours.
4. Remove from marinade and cook as desired: grill, bake, or air fry.
5. Discard used marinade or boil before reusing as sauce.
Notes
Do not marinate chicken for more than 24 hours.
Always reserve a portion of marinade before it touches raw chicken for basting or sauce.
Add lime zest, hoisin, or chipotle for unique flavor twists.
