Strawberry sorbet is a light, refreshing frozen dessert made with fresh strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice. It’s dairy-free, vegan, and perfect for a healthy, homemade treat.

Ingredients

Scale

4 cups fresh or frozen strawberries (hulled)

1 cup granulated sugar

1 cup water

1 tablespoon lemon juice (freshly squeezed)

Instructions

1. Prepare a simple syrup by dissolving sugar in water over low heat. Let it cool.

2. Blend strawberries with lemon juice until smooth.

3. Mix in the cooled simple syrup.

4. Chill mixture in refrigerator for 1 hour.

5. Churn in an ice cream maker until soft.

6. Freeze for 2-3 hours to firm up.

7. Serve and enjoy.

Notes

Use ripe strawberries for best flavor.

No ice cream maker? Freeze in a shallow dish, stirring every 30 minutes until firm.

Add fresh mint or balsamic vinegar for a twist.
