Description

Orange Creamsicle Bars are creamy, citrusy, and bursting with real orange flavor. This no-bake dessert is the perfect treat for hot summer days!


Ingredients

2 cups crushed graham crackers

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 cup cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup Greek yogurt

1/3 cup powdered sugar

1 tbsp orange zest

1/2 cup orange juice (freshly squeezed)

1/2 tsp vanilla extract

1 packet unflavored gelatin (or agar-agar for vegetarian)

1/4 cup cold water

1/2 cup whipped cream or whipped topping


Instructions

1. In a bowl, mix crushed graham crackers with melted butter. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a lined 8×8-inch pan to form the crust.

2. Chill the crust in the refrigerator while you prepare the filling.

3. In a small bowl, sprinkle gelatin over cold water and let it bloom for 5 minutes. Then microwave for 10 seconds to dissolve.

4. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese, Greek yogurt, and powdered sugar until smooth.

5. Add orange zest, orange juice, and vanilla extract to the cream cheese mixture. Mix until well combined.

6. Slowly pour in the dissolved gelatin and mix again.

7. Fold in the whipped cream until smooth and fluffy.

8. Pour the filling over the chilled crust. Smooth the top with a spatula.

9. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until set.

10. Cut into bars and garnish with additional zest or whipped cream if desired.

Notes

You can substitute Greek yogurt with sour cream for a tangier twist.

Use store-bought orange juice, but fresh oranges give better flavor.

Top with candied orange slices or white chocolate shavings for presentation.

Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days.
