Description

Mini Caprese Skewers with Balsamic Drizzle recipe: Elegant tomato, basil, and mozzarella bites with a tangy glaze. Perfect for parties and gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale

20 cherry tomatoes

20 fresh basil leaves

20 small mozzarella balls (bocconcini)

½ cup balsamic vinegar

1 tablespoon honey (optional)

Sea salt and cracked black pepper

20 toothpicks or mini skewers

Instructions

1. Wash and dry the cherry tomatoes and basil leaves.

2. Thread one cherry tomato, one basil leaf, and one mozzarella ball onto each skewer.

3. In a small saucepan, add balsamic vinegar and honey (if using).

4. Simmer over medium-low heat until reduced by half and thickened, about 10 minutes.

5. Allow balsamic glaze to cool slightly.

6. Arrange skewers on a serving platter and season with salt and pepper.

7. Drizzle balsamic reduction over skewers just before serving.

Notes

Use high-quality aged balsamic vinegar for more depth.

Make the glaze a day ahead and store it in the fridge.

Add a peach or fig slice between ingredients for a twist.

Keep skewers refrigerated until ready to serve.
