Description
Crispy, creamy, and loaded with sweet strawberries—these Fried Strawberry Cheesecake Sandwiches are the ultimate dessert mashup!
Ingredients
8 slices brioche bread
4 oz cream cheese, softened
1 cup strawberries, chopped
2 tbsp sugar (divided)
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 egg
2 tbsp milk
Butter or oil for frying
Powdered sugar, for garnish
Optional: chocolate sauce or whipped cream
Instructions
1. In a bowl, whip the cream cheese with 1 tbsp sugar and vanilla extract until smooth.
2. In a small saucepan, cook chopped strawberries with 1 tbsp sugar over medium heat until syrupy. Set aside to cool.
3. Spread cream cheese mixture on one side of 4 bread slices. Spoon strawberry mixture on top, then place remaining slices on top to form sandwiches.
4. In a shallow dish, whisk together the egg and milk.
5. Heat butter or oil in a skillet over medium heat.
6. Dip each sandwich into the egg mixture, coating both sides.
7. Fry sandwiches for 2–3 minutes per side or until golden brown.
8. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain.
9. Serve warm, dusted with powdered sugar, and drizzle with chocolate sauce or add whipped cream if desired.
Notes
For a more decadent twist, try adding a layer of Nutella with the cream cheese.
Use thick-cut bread like brioche or challah for the best texture.
Best enjoyed fresh, but can be reheated in an air fryer or toaster.
